Shelter Dog PSA

Remember my picture book, My Name is Charlie? Well it seems he's not the only one speaking for shelter dogs. I recently filmed a PSA this past semester for my class. We went to the Forsyth Humane Society and filmed their shelter dogs. The PSA shows that although these dogs had a false start in life, it doesn't mean that they aren't good dogs. Here is the link:

Also, remember that half of the proceeds from My Name is Charlie will go to non-kill animal shelters. Thanks again to the Forsyth Humane Society and all their help.

Hello Everyone!

The first donations from My Name is Charlie profits went to SOAR also known as Southport/ Oak Island Animal Rescue. They are a non-kill animal shelter. Here is their link if you would like to know more about them:

Sadly, due to the economy, the owner is being forced to sale it.They aren't accepting anymore dogs but they aren't putting down the ones that are still there. If you can, they would really appreciate donations. A couple of dollars can go a long way.

So, the current news. I am awaiting the proof for my novel currently. I'm not exactly sure when I'll get it but hopefully it will be soon. I am still planning for this to be out by early October. After that, I can finally focus more on my picture book.
Yep, you heard my right, I am going to have a picture book.
I already have an illustrator and soon we'll be adding the drawings to the actual story. I originally wanted it to come out in October but it looks like it will be Thankgiving. This is still good. This story also will have part of its proceeds going to non-kill animal shelters. I can't tell you how psyched I am about this story! I will tell you more later but right now I'll just leave you in suspense. =)
Also to look forward to are possible new updates to the website. I am taking an Interactive media course which means I'll learn how to make fun stuff for my website. I'll also let you know more when that comes around.

Book has been sent out!

Yep, my book has been sent out so it is only a matter of time before it is available to the public. As it gets closer to its release, I plan to put up a cover, summary, and other surprises in order to get people excited.

The sequel to Mist Island will soon be sent out to the publisher. We're just waiting on the front and back cover design. A sneek peak at the designs will be on my facebook page in a few weeks.
